The Warrior is modeled after Athena, goddess of war and wisdom. This is the part of me that tackles more...FEAR with a combination of courage and reason.
I have weapons bestowed upon me by Adrienne Rich, the poet, who in her poem "Diving Into The Wreck" takes a knife, a camera, and a book of myths.
My "knife" is a labrys- the doubleheaded axe Athena used, also a symbol of feminine strength.
My "camera", of course, is "Viddy", my trusted sidekick ("Viddy" for video-cam) who records the way.
My "book of myths" is my past and present, including the vlog and blog I keep to make sense of it all, and that I use to reshape my own myth into something of an empowering narrative. I do so in order to make the "way" clearer.
I know...it's very Buddhist, but I'm not. less
