once in a blue moon's bewilder
a falling star comes close into view
it spreads a little happiness in angelic smile
while sending unsuspecting notice
in the eyes of such enchantment
hope blossoms into a pleasant smile
which serenely showers sweet melody
bathing wandering souls with faint glimmer
on this often lonely journey from light into darkness
in a way which guides tomorrow into blessed refrain
in the presence of such innocent beauty's sparkle
one finds their way back onto unmarked paths
past the fray of routine discomfort and disdain
toward a brighter day often found in the dreams
which may never come true yet offers the expectancy
life precariously clings to the ideal that through struggle
dreams will be realized and opportunity achieved
in the name of peace in whose eyes we now see
showering down upon wayward pen stroke fortuitously
