i like this design better than the SA body. if i was buyin a new guitar it would be a les paul standard. best sound ever!

you know, i never really liked the body shape of the RG series. They do sound pretty good though for what they cost. You should look into the SA series. nice tapered body with a really clean sound..that's what i used to have and that's what i'd buy if i were to get back into playing now.
