This is Cascuda (= hard shell, Trachemys dorbignyi "water tiger",there's a american sp too Trachemys more...scripta elegans), sunbathing and preparing to attack, don't underestimate her, she's a fierce biter (my fingers know that, ouch),but with some conditioning, she learns how not to bite you too much.By the way, they are commercialized illegally in Brazil, and i didn't bought her,i've adopted from someone who treats them poorly, actually they r 4 of them, but today live in a artificial pond in a farm, not in a natural lake, cause these animals can devastate. I've studied biology and i'm totally against illegal commercialization of animals, mistreating,or with nature's degradation by releasing them in a natural environment, cause this brings many, many problems, there are lots of examples around the world. You can have all the animals that are already domesticated or wild animals that are legally commercialized, and reproduced in apropriated places. Only 1 in 10 survives til the new owner less
