was a naiad or nymph, daughter of the river Almon in Roman mythology. She was famous more...for both beauty and loquaciousness (which was an untrue story made by Jupiter to discredit her). She was conflicted in keeping the secret of Jupiter's affair with Juturna (Larunda's fellow nymph, and the wife of Janus), and inevitably told Jupiter's wife. For this she was punished by Jupiter, and sentence to silence and a shameful story was told by Jupiter to discredit her for eternity.... but don't worry, all the gods and goddesses know the truth, and hold as a Hero amongst them, hence her being a goddess less
